Joey and Emelia met while in college at Santa Clara University back in 2015. After a short period of time, they began dating after discovering that they both had mutual feelings towards one another. As young adults, these two had a love for one another that we truly admired. One that embodies patience, unity, and trust. What was supposed to be their special wedding day on April 26th, 2020 became something uncertain for the two once the pandemic began. The two had then postponed their wedding date to October which later on as the date approached, became evident that this pandemic wasn’t going anywhere and that they had to make another decision for themselves. These were trying times for not just them two, but all couples alike. Faced with more stressed and uncertainty, Joey and Emelia came to realization that their love for one another wasn’t going to be defined by how many people show up to their day or whether or not they would see the other person walking down the aisle. It was the act of being in each other’s presence and sharing the moment of reciting their vows with one another. Their love was not going to be put to a halt or cancelled because of a pandemic. With that in mind, they decided to reach out to us once again asking if we were interested in eloping with them at Yosemite National Park. Without hesitation, we agreed to take part in their elopement and made sure that it was going to be an experience that they would never forget. This elopement allowed Joey and Emelia to take a step back from everything that was happening in the world and immerse themselves at one of the most beautiful locations in the world. To us, this was everything we could have imagined and more. Time slows down and we get to enjoy the views while having heartfelt conversations with our beautiful couple. What more could we ask for?
